Every legend knows the grill is sacred ground. Here's how to hold it down safely - TYC style.
- Set up your zones. Direct heat for searing. Indirect heat for finishing. Know the difference or lose the brisket.
- Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Not because you'll need it. Because legends are prepared.
- Never leave the grill unattended. You are the Suburban Legend. The grill is your domain. Own it.
- Let It Rest. The meat AND your ego. Pull it off the heat, cover it loosely, and give it 5-10 minutes. This is non-negotiable.
- Let Him Cook. If someone else is on the grill, respect the process. Back up. Trust the legend.
- Keep kids and pets clear of the grill perimeter. Establish the zone. Enforce it.
- Clean your grates. Before and after. A dirty grill is a disrespect to the craft.
